The meaning of our logo:
The history of jade can be traced back to the beginning creation of Chinese civilization. For thousands of years jade has been the symbol of love, virtue, beauty, grace and purity as well as being a status symbol of China. Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC) believed that benevolence, rectitude, wisdom, courage, and integrity were the five virtues of jade that represented the Chinese people.
The outline of the Yuan logo is based on a Yuan Jiaqi small jade “Buddha Baby.” Known as a Fu Wa - Fu means “prosperous” and Wa means “baby.” A Fu Wa brings luck and fortune for the birth of a newborn. In Western culture, the term describes the idea of the “chosen one.” The character “y” in the red stamp is the first letter of “Yuan.” In Asian culture, “Yuan” means the “first” or the “beginning.” It also represents our dedication of being “the best” and starting from “the new.” Using the stamp logo imitates the composition and philosophy of a traditional Chinese painting. A red stamp mark is traditionally placed at the corner of a Chinese ink painting, as an integral part as well as the final step indicating the completion of the painting.
The Yuan logo represents our sincerity, confidence and authority to bring the very best art to the Western art world and to bring the most influential Western art to China. Yuan's mission is to bridge the Western and the Eastern art world through essential cultural and aesthetic treasures.
